One of the most significant areas of Orange work is devoted to helping others through our charity work.  Each year, Lodge members raise thousands of pounds for good and worthy causes.

The money helps people from all faiths and backgrounds.

Our Charity work

Each year, the many Lodges and branches raise thousands of pounds for good causes.

We also own two fully equipped Lodges that we use for providing a well earned holiday for our senior members or for members and their families who are recovering from illness or require a break away from everyday stress.

Lastly, we encourage our members to individually raise funds for a whole range of charities and we’d like to pay a special tribute to them and the work that they do.

Established in 1978 to provide holiday breaks for our senior members, the Scottish Orange Home Fund is the only registered Orange Charity in Scotland (Registration Number SC003774). Since its formation the SOHF has grown and is now providing a well earned holiday for our senior members and for members and their families who are recovering from illness or require a break away from everyday stress.

We now have two fully equipped on site facilities within Seton Sands Holiday Village near the fishing village of Port Seton on the East Coast not far from the City of Edinburgh.

Seton Sands Holiday Village boasts beautifully kept grounds and is only a few minutes walk from the beach and a short walk or bus journey from the village of Port Seton itself. The onsite leisure facilities and entertainment complex are available to our members throughout their stay at Seton Sands.

However, we need your support in encouraging others to donate or fund raise for the only Orange Charity in Scotland - The Scottish Orange Home Fund.

Further information on Fund raising, Give as you earn scheme or to simply make a donation please contact Helyne MacLean, Secretary of the Scottish Orange Home or the staff at Olympia House.

One of the largest areas of our work, but often the most undervalued, is the Orange Order’s charitable work.
