A Lanarkshire-based charity were given a huge cash boost recently after they were presented with a cheque for £21,000.

The Ladies’ Orange Association of Scotland made the huge gesture to the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation for children with life-limiting illnesses.

Jean Logan, the Grand Mistress of Scotland, presented the cheque at the Glasgow Evangelical Church surrounded by the association’s trustees Gina McNee, Mary Duckett, Isobel Campbell and Kirsty Gardiner.

The ladies raise funds for all kinds of charities throughout the year, with one main cheque being presented in October at their conference.
