Keeping you informed, an update from the Grand Master, Jim McHarg,
I’d like to once again thank all our members and supporters for coming out on Saturday as we stood alongside other likeminded groups in George Square to campaign against discrimination in the great City of Glasgow.
On Monday evening, we had a difficult but constructive meeting with the chief executive of Glasgow City Council and Police Scotland Divisional Commander for Glasgow to discuss the issues at hand. Whilst the meeting was challenging and frank views were exchanged, progress was made and we have agreed to meet again to continue the dialogue towards a hopeful resolution. Glasgow has always had a rich history and heritage and is home to many faiths. We will continue to stand up for our own heritage and our own rights, as strongly as we encourage other faiths to stand up for theirs.
